Inviting: Member Missionary Efforts

Sorry it has been so long since my last email. These last couple weeks have been interesting to say the least. But what was most amazing and built my testimony the most was an experience we had this week. One of members decided to invite a friend to come to church with him, and he came. Not only did he come last week but he came this week as well, and said he will be coming next week and the week after that and so on. This member was given the priesthood and ordained a priest yesterday and after church he talked with his friend about the blessings of the gospel in his life. His friend that he brought is now praying about baptism and may be ready to be baptized in the next couple weeks. That is missionary work!

Yesterday in our branch, a member of the high council came and spoke about inviting. He said that as we pray specifically about who to invite, how to do it, what to invite them to, etc., we will guided more clearly to those that are open for the truth. God knows each of us personally and will prepare the way for each of us to return to him. This high council member was invited to come back to the church by a friend. Now he is married, and he and his wife and their four children are all active in the church. You never know how influential your invitation can be.

No matter where you are and what you are doing, God has prepared people that you can help. they are prepared specifically for you and I know that if you will pray about it specifically, God will guide you to bring them home to him.

Love you,

Elder J Billings
