This last week we had stake conference and our mission president happened to be there. It was really cool because he talked about how important it is to change without delay, or as the scriptures put it, “this day” (Joshua 24). I took some time afterward to think about that…I have seen the importance of immediate action on my mission so many times. Both from the miracle that come from acting and the consequence of delaying.
In the conference, a story was told of a young boy that was falsely accused of taking his father’s pen, so he decided to run away from home. He continually refused to come in from the back shed that he had run to because his parents were unjust. The speaker then applied it to how we will go away because of small injustices, and we will continually harden our hearts against God, and we will refuse to forgive. I hope that we will all remember to soften our hearts while the merciful hand of the Lord is extended.
I love you all, and I thank you for your support and prayers.
